I have known REMY DAVIS WARRINGTON since he joined The Scots College as a Year 3 student in 2014. Remy is a polite, thoughtful and respectful young man. He shows maturity and dedication in his approach to his work, and is well-mannered and considerate in his relationships with others. Remy demonstrates great spirit and enthusiasm, and he has engaged very positively in all aspects of College life. He has forged strong friendships, grown as a leader and won the respect of his teachers and his peers. He has displayed excellent focus, resilience and organisational skills in managing his diverse and time-consuming commitments.
For the HSC, Remy is undertaking the following courses of study: Biology, English Advanced, Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension I, PDHPE, Studies of Religion Iand Visual Arts. His teachers describe him as 'focused during class', 'able to articulate original and engaging concepts verbally', and 'a delightful student with an earnest approach', who 'often asks questions to enhance his understanding' and 'is a positive influence on his peers.'
Remy is highly committed and thoroughly enjoys his involvement in the College's sporting and cocurricular programs. He has been a member of the Co-curricular Drama program since 2019.
He has represented the College in Volleyball and Basketball and, since 2020, has been a member of the 1sts teams for both of these sports. Remy is a very talented and passionate sportsman, whose demeanour on and off the court displays determination, persistence, self- discipline and respect.
During his time at Scots, Remy has grown in his leadership capacity and is a fine example to his peers and to the younger students. He has served as the College's Captain of Basketball, a role he has carried out with wonderful enthusiasm and dedication. He has been generous in giving his time to coach and encourage basketball players in the younger age groups and is a fine ambassador for the sport.
Remy's courteous and respectful manner endears him to others. He thrives within the College community and always strives to give his best. His disciplined work ethic, highly personable manner and dedication to continuous improvement are among his significant strengths. He is reliable and trustworthy, showing integrity in the way he approaches his work and in his dealings with others. He embraces and exemplifies values that are noble and enduring. Iam confident he will enjoy much success in whatever his chosen field of endeavour. I wish him well.
